I love celebrating new milestones with my clients.
And Matt just hit a big one… he surpassed 500-million-dollars in assets under management (AUM).
On top of that, Matt has built an incredible team that is laser focused on delivering an extraordinary client experience.
During a recent coaching session, we discussed the key factors that have contributed to his remarkable achievements.
Rather than attributing his success solely to marketing and client service strategies, we talked about the foundation he has built for his business.
Matt has established a solid base, supported by his 5 pillars for business success.
This foundation has served as the bedrock upon which Matt could confidently explore new opportunities (like acquiring other practices).
To illustrate this point, Matt drew a parallel to the movie “Field of Dreams” and the famous line “build it and they will come.”
The essence of this sentiment resonates with Matt’s approach of focusing on constructing a robust foundation and not getting lost in the minutiae of every little step.
Not chasing every crazy idea he sees in his LinkedIn and Facebook feeds.
Not trying to emulate other advisors without really taking the time to understand how and why they’re getting results.
By prioritizing the establishment of a sturdy base, Matt has positioned himself to seize new opportunities as they arise.
He knows when to say “yes.”
And maybe even more importantly, he knows how to say “no.”
In other words, he has a foundation for decision-making.
I’m grateful he that he recognizes my help with implementing this approach.
In the end, our conversation left me contemplating the importance of a strong foundation in various aspects of life, not just in business.
It reminded me that success often stems from investing time and effort into building a solid groundwork upon which to build our dreams.
In fact, we can dream even bigger.
You see, amidst the complexities of our becoming the best we can be in business and life, we sometimes need to take a step back.
And ensure that we have a solid foundation in place before pursuing new opportunities.
I hope you find this subtle, yet powerful lesson as thought-provoking as I did.
If you have any insights or would like to discuss this topic in more detail, I’d be delighted to schedule a conversation with you.
Rooting for your success!
